2024 May 10 Permission Slip

Dear Me,

I give you permission to forget to post yesterday. You may even forget to post again in the future. There is no karmic retribution to not following your own impossible standards. You have a ton of blog posts and you’re the only one really reading them. It’s ok. This writing is for yourself anyway. 

Just get back on the horse, or not, it’s ridiculous to beat yourself up and it’s probably triggering some OCD. Get that checked out if it becomes a problem. 

Don’t write for compulsion. Write because you like to write.

Here are some nonnative alliums. I love alliums because they are pretty and perennial. The Allicin compound has so many human benefits, maybe write about that sometime. Also, write about the native Pokeweed poking through the middle of the clump. Pokeweed is COOL.
