2024 April 16 Blue Jays Being Blue Jays

 It’s a cool morning, but just right for taking my coffee outside. We have been so excited to have a pair of Cardinals nesting in an arborvitae out back. The arborvitae is a weird one that fell forward and still grew upward like it’s bowing toward the house. I thought about getting the saw out when I noticed the little nest and the shrieking Cardinals. I’ll leave them alone…but the Blue Jays won’t. I understand it’s just nature, but it’s hard to watch the Blue Jays getting closer and the Cardinals fighting them off. It’s nature, but I might still put a hard boiled egg in the feeder to entice them away.
